Handball players became Masters of Sports of Russia
In accordance with the order of Ministry of Sports of the Russian Federation of 21 February 2018, seven players of the Handball Team «Technolog-Spartak» were awarded the title of «Master of Sports of Russia» for their success in the past game season.
The title was awarded to the youth team for successful performances in beach handball competitions. Two young handball players, 17-year-old Ilya Annenko and Sergey Kramskoy were among the awardees. Boys are members of the junior Russian national team, which took the 4th place at the European Championships in 2018 in Zagreb (Croatia), thus obtaining an opportunity to go to the World Cup which will be held at Mauritius. The national team became one of top four and got the right to play at the upcoming 2018 Youth Olympic Games in Buenos Aires, Argentina. Accordingly, the guys distinguished themselves in the Russian championship as well as at the international level.
The title «Master of Sports of Russia» was awarded to the following team players:
1. Ilya Annenko;
2. Sergey Kramskoy;
3. Vladislav Mazalov;
4. Nikita Mackarin;
5. Artyom Nikiforov;
6. Alexander Semenov;
7. Nikita Skridlov.
The beach handball, as a sport, is actively developing at the university with the support of the administration. Over the past 5 years, more than 40 athletes-university students have become masters of sports.
