University Cossack Choir recognized the best at the International Festival
From February 22 to 25, 2018, the 12th International festival of music, art and folk art «Russian Fairy Tale-2018» was held in St. Petersburg.
This competition has no analogues and is a unique event dedicated to folk art. The festival preserves and develops the traditions of the multinational culture of the Russian Federation, acquaints participants with the cultural richness of the peoples of the world. For more than 10 years, the most talented populists from Russia and foreign countries have been meeting at the Russian Fairy Tale contest. Participants of the festival speak to the jury, which consists of cultural and art leaders.
The amateur folk band «Youth ensemble of the Cossack song of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov» (head Maria Krivchenko, concertmaster Nikolay Balla), who became a laureate of the 1st degree in the nomination «national vocal», and who also was awarded with a special prize «For the best patriotic performance» took part in this competition. The soloist of the musical ensemble Vladimir Prokhorov, a student of the 4th year of the Institute of engineering and construction became the laureate of 1 degree. «The choir is a big family for me. I live a Cossack song and culture, this is the meaning of my life», - Vladimir shared.
The members of the ensemble express their gratitude to the University administration for the opportunity to show their creativity in this festival.
