BSTU scientists became the laureates of V.G. Shukhov award for the first time in history
The Governor of the Belgorod Region Evgeny Savchenko and the Chairman of the Council of Rectors of the Belgorod Region, the President of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov Professor Anatoly Gridchin presented the Vladimir Shukhov Award.
The solemn ceremony was held on the Day of Russian Science, February 8, 2018, at the Belgorod State Philharmonic. The event was attended by the rector of the University Sergei Glagolev.
The prize, awarded for the first time in the year to the 165th anniversary of the birth of the renowned scientist, the genius of engineering thought, whose name is borne by the university. It is awarded for scientific and technical research, contribution to technological progress, developmental design, culminating in the creation and use of materials, products with new indicators, etc.
Fedor Zhernovoy, a graduate of BSTU, director of the «Information Technology Factory» became the laureate of the first degree in the nomination «Innovations in the field of information technology». The automated information system «Cultural region» designed by Mr. Zhernovoy unites the institution of region culture, creates a unified information and cultural space of the region on the common platform. The system acquaints the general public with the cultural wealth of the Belgorod land, presents to all those who wish access to the diversity of cultural events in Belgorod due to modern technologies,.
Valeria Strokova, the head of the materials science and technology department of BSTU became the laureate of the II degree for 2017 in the nomination «Modern technologies of production energy efficiency and energy saving».
Valeria Valeryevna has built and implemented a universal system of continuous training of personnel in the scientific and educational process - from school and university to the enterprise. This mechanism became the basis for the formation of competitive personnel in various sectors of the economy and is used in a number of higher educational institutions of the country.
In total, 10 scientists from the Belgorod region, representing universities, enterprises and scientific laboratories received the award named after V.G. Shukhov.
The award Attributes - diplomas and memorable stellas - were brought to the hall by BSTU students, students whose performance is outstanding. The university student palace of culture helped to arrange the ceremony.
Applicants performed in five nominations, where the first and second places were determined. Cash benefits of 200 thousand and 100 thousand rubles were set out. The prize is awarded within the framework of the initiatives of the President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin on the development of innovative economy and science.
