The flagship university project will be extended to the regional level
The project of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov sports and patriotic organization «Belogor» - «Path of Power» which is implemented within the framework of the annual interuniversity youth festival «Rus’ Zapovednaya» got the presidential funding and this project will be carried out throughout the year on a regional scale with the support of the youth policy department of the Department for Internal and Personnel Policy of the Belgorod Region.
The Vice-Rector on Safety of BSTU, Vladimir Borisovsky, Vice-Rector for Cultural and pedagogic work Irina Avilova, Director of the Innovation and Design Center Viktor Babaev and Project Manager - Chairman of the Sports and Patriotic Club «Belogor» Alexey Yarmak attended the conference dedicated to the presentation of the project.
The head of the Belgorod branch of the All-Russian public organization «Combat Brotherhood», Hero of Russia, Vyacheslav Vorobyev, the head of the special department of the Federal Penal Correction Office of Russian Federation in the Belgorod region «Sokol», the colonel of internal service Alexander Martynov, the deputy head of the department of Rosgvardia in the Belgorod region Alexei Arbuzov and the head department of spiritual, moral and patriotic education of youth of the youth policy department of the region Alexander Maksimenko were the honorary guests of the meeting. The meeting was also attended by the leaders of military and sports and patriotic organizations of the city.
Vladimir Borisovsky welcomed the guests on behalf of the rector of the flagship university Sergey Glagolev and the president of the university Anatoly Gridchin, and expressed gratitude for participating in the conference and supporting the project: «This is a very interesting event. For the first time in the Belgorod region there is a presentation of one of the brightest programs on the youth education. And most importantly, the authors of the project are employees and students of our university, and its implementation became possible due to the university administration. The project is very relevant, because the complexity of the world situation requires each of us to be ready to defend the homeland».
Vladimir Ivanovich pointed out that the feature of the «Path of Power» project is everyone's responsibility for the safety of life and activity in the country and therefore it is of interest to all age groups, from schoolchildren to adult citizens. The youth has an opportunity to get acquainted with this project during the annual patriotic education event called «Rus’ Zapovednaya», which will be held for the fourth time this year and as always the sports and patriotic organization «Belogor» will take part.
Hero of Russia Vyacheslav Vorobyev said: "It is good that the organization «Belogor» is functioning at the university, and the university administration supports it in every possible way. The «Path of Power» project is very promising and has great potential. Now we will be able to attract cadets from all over the Belgorod Region to participate».
The head of the department of spiritual, moral and patriotic youth education of the regional department of youth policy Alexander Maksimenko added: «We are very happy that we have such a patriotic project in the region. We are sure that it will become an indispensable component not only of spiritual and moral education, preparation for service in the army, development of the physical strength of youth, but also prevention of various disastrous society phenomena. We support any work aimed at educating true citizens and worthy defenders of the Fatherland. Good luck and new achievements»!
The project author Alexey Yarmak told how the Path of Force was created and shared his plans for the future. According to him, the Belgorod regional public organization «Belogor» was registered in 2013. The agreement on mutual cooperation was signed between organization representatives and BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, the university «took under its wing», allocated a room for classes and all these years supports the initiative.
The project began with group training - ran 14 km from Solomino village to the beach, swam to the other side, did exercises, practiced martial arts. In 2015, the organization had the opportunity to formalize the testing system in a separate «package» – «The Path of Power» in the framework of the «Rus’ Zapovednaya» festival with the support of the university for the first time. Then it was decided to add more obstacle bars. The project has been developing for three years within the framework of the festival, and now it has reached a new level thanks to the presidential funding.
Alexey Alexandrovich says: «We made up a regional project that will unite patriotic and sports organizations and will interest many people. In each city of our region there are clubs, the organizers where children and adults gather, train them and educate, and thus prepare for serving their country. Our initiative was appreciated, and we got the opportunity to realize this idea».
Within the framework of the project, the Military Sport Test Championship «Path of Power» will be held in five stages:
1st round - March 24, 2018,
2nd round - May 25, 2018,
3rd round - June 30, 2018,
The 4th round - August 28, 2018,
The 5th round - October 20, 2018,
All these stages will be held in the different areas of the Belgorod region. The project geography will allow to take part in rounds to any region citizens.
