Cup of Autumn in mini-football
On the eve of the International Students the competition in mini-football - "Autumn Cup"took place on the base of our university, organized by the department for work with foreign students of the university with the support of the Department of Physical Education and Sports.
Representatives of the teams from Egypt, Angola, Afghanistan, Zambia, Ghana, Nigeria, the national team of Africa and the international team "Vityaz" fought for the right to participate in the national team in the upcoming competitions.
The Cup games were held on the Olympic system - on the elimination of the losing teams. In the third round, Egypt played with Nigeria (3-0), Vityaz with Zambia (6-0), Angola with Afghanistan (2-0) and the African team with Ghana (3-1). In the semi-final, Vityaz met with the Egyptian team 2-1, and the African team - with the Angola team - 2-0. The final was pushed by two strongest teams of the Cup - the national team of the African and international team Vityaz, who showed a beautiful game with the result is 3: 1.
Our goal was to bring students from different countries closer together and give them the opportunity to feel part of a whole called "Shukhovites".
Awarding of winners and summing up of the tournament will take place at the nearest Council of fellow-countrymen of foreign students of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov. The best players of the tournament will enter the team of foreign students of the "Technologist" and will represent the mainstream university of the Belgorod region in the city championship in mini-football.
