Representatives of BSTU took part in the International Conference RTUCON-2017
On the 13th of October the 58th International Powerand Electrical Engineering Conference RTUCON-2017 was held in Riga (Latvia), which gathered more than 150 scientists from leading universities and research institutes of Latvia, Russia, Estonia, Finland, Germany, the United States on the same site of the Riga Technical University , Korea, Egypt, etc. (more than 15 countries).
As part of the event, six main sections were deployed: Electrical Engineering, Power Electronics, Energy, Intelligent Grids, Control Electronics and ICT, Education.
The conference was attended by the Director of the Institute of Energy, Information Technologies and Control Systems -Professor Alexander V. Belousov and the leading engineer of the Department of Informatization and Communications, Associate Professor of the Department of Electricity and Automation-Yuri Koshlich.
YuriyKoshlich presented the report«Investigation of communication standard IEC 60870 used to create substations remote control systems» in section "Smart Grids" (authors A.V.Belousov, Y.A.Koshlich, A.G.Grebenik, I.V.Bashkatov).
Within the framework of the conference, an exciting excursion was organized around the campus of the university, including laboratories and specialized audiences of the Faculty of Telecommunications and Electrical Engineering Faculty.
Employees of BSTU presented the developments of their institute and discussed with the representatives of the Riga Technical University the possibility of joint cooperation within the framework of International projects in the field of energy and information technologies.
Proceedings of scientists presented at the conference will be indexed in the International databases IEEE Xplore and SCOPUS.
