Opening of the Summer school of Russian language
More than 100 foreign students, post-graduate students and teachers came to BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov improves their skills of the Russian language.
On July 5, the official opening of the summer language school on the program "Study + Rest" was held. The school has been conducted for 10 years by the faculty of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens and the Russian language department. During these years, more than 1,000 people from different countries of the world have trained. Representatives from France, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Italy, Spain, Poland, USA, Jordan, Morocco, Egypt, Israel, Morocco and Peru came this year.
At the opening ceremony of the language school with a welcoming speech to the participants, the first pro-rector of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, Professor N.A. Shapovalov, Vice-Rector in International Activities of the University, Professor R.V. Lesovik. They thanked the guests for their interest in learning the Russian language. The students of the school traditionally laid flowers at the monument to V.G. Shukhov, watched the movie about the university, got acquainted with the program of events.
Dean of the Preparatory Faculty for Foreign Citizens, Associate Professor E.N. Lyogochkina wished the participants to master the Russian language in a month to understand each other without an interpreter.
Students of the language school are waiting for an interesting study course. In addition to the traditional classroom language learning, participants are offered a number of elective courses. If you wish, you can study the Russian language by getting acquainted with Russian folk songs, proverbs and sayings, Russian literature, films of Soviet and Russian directors. This year the program of the language school includes master classes on painting matryoshka, weaving lapti and making amulets. In addition, the organizers prepared an extensive excursion program.
The uniqueness of this project is that the participants of the summer school will have the opportunity to improve their Russian language skills, to get acquainted with Russian cultural traditions, the peculiarities of the Russian mentality, and also to communicate with their peers from different countries in a short time.
