Visit of a colleague from Germany
On the May 15 a colleague from Germany - Professor Stefan Voth started a visit to our university. He represents the Higher Technical University named after G. Agricola.
The sphere of his interests is connected with the mining business that is why the department of machinery meets and accepts the professors.
On the first day of the visit, Prof. Voth visited a meeting of the Department of machinery, where the prospects for further joint work were discussed. Currently, under the scientific guidance of the professor, five undergraduates from the Shukhov family are trained in Germany. Such an exchange should enter into a constant practice, since both universities have accumulated considerable experience of activity.
The German guest talked with the professors, got acquainted with the innovative developments being carried out by Russian colleagues, discussed such topics as "Improvement of equipment for mineral processing", "Implementation of open pit mining", "Reclamation of mine workings".
Mr. Voth saw a methodology for organizing and holding state exams at the university.
In addition to the agreement on cooperation between universities,implementation of the Erasmus + grant was signed.
During the visit, the German guest will visit one of the leading enterprises of the city of Belgorod - the BelEnergomash plant, StaryOskol electrometallurgical combine, take part in the students' conference in the Mining business.
The visit will end on May 20.
