Meet our new partner-The Lebanese University
Delegation of the Republic of Lebanon visited our university with an official visit: First vice-rector, dean of the Faculty of Environment at the Lebanese State University Tayssir Hamiih and president of the Association of Russian-Lebanese friendship Samaha Bashir Abbas .
Lebanese University - the only public university in the country. It includes 15 faculties, with an enrollment of over 70,000 students.
The purpose of the visit of distinguished guests - the strengthening of promising partnerships and the development of cultural exchange between two universities.
After the traditional laying flowers at the monument to the great engineer V.G. Shukhov members of the delegation met with the head of the university. While the meeting they discussed the prospects for cooperation in the field of education and science, agreed areas of mutual interest, including - participation in joint research projects, student and faculty exchanges, development of double degrees.
During the meeting the first vice-rector of BSTU –prof N. Shapovalov and First Vice-Rector, Dean of the Faculty of Environment at the Lebanese State University Tayssir Hamiih signed a cooperation agreement.
- The signing of the memorandum - the first step in strengthening the friendship between our two countries and to further fruitful cooperation between universities - said the first vice-rector of the Lebanese University.
Tayssir Hamiih noted historically close cooperation of the USSR and then Russia to Lebanon and congratulate all the Belgorod with the 70th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.
After signing the contract, guests had excursion to the university, visited the laboratory of modern high-tech Center, met with leading scientists of the university.
