Final Meeting of Foreign Students Council
On December 20, the last session of the Council of Foreign National Affinity Groups took place . The organizers of the event were Head of the Foreign Students Department Nosachev D.S. and deputy head for International Relations Department Petimko A.M. put forward the agenda discussing the issue of the results of Council’s activity during the first semester 2012-2013 academic year.
The President of the Council Syed Ammar Abassi issued a report which reflected the activities of the Council during the reporting period. He said that the foreign students were able to do a lot this semester to achieve the maximum peaks in sports, cultural activities and, of course, studying.
August Belgorod became the sports capital of the Holding III Corporate Olympics "EVROTCEMENTgrup." Students from around the world with joy and enthusiasm took part in the opening of sport event.
September student from Angola - Kolembe Zakariash Sonzhamba Vasco was awarded a special prize at the XVI International Festival of original songs and poetry "Nezhegolskaya Path 2012."
Zambians students studying at universities in the city of Belgorod met with a delegation from the Embassy of the Republic of Zambia to Russia, headed by Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Republic of Zambia Frederick Shumba Hapunda and Education Attaché of the Embassy of the Russian Federation Michael Mundambo Lyme.
October - International students celebrated the independence of Nigeria. By tradition, the celebration of this event was held in our university. Currently BSTU is training over 40 students from Nigeria. On the day of its independence, Nigerians students organized a colorful show in the lobby of the University. The holiday was accompanied by national songs and dances. In honor of this event a football tournament was organized, which was attended by teams from Nigeria, Zambia and Angola. Afghanistan, Turkmenistan, Ecuador, Guinea and other countries.
The Center of Youth Initiatives held an open competition for youth IX conversational genre of "Time, like stars, hearts light" 59 students of educational institutions of the Belgorod region were involved in the contest. In "Bard's poetry and prose," a student of Architecture and Construction Institute Muhongo Pedro Guilherme Dias won the I-st degree for his own poem "Angola - Russia" in Portuguese, and Russian.
On Independence Day in Zambia in the lobby of the main building BSTU Zambian students organized a brilliant exhibition, where guests were presented souvenirs, local currency and household items.
November
- a meeting of the Commission on Crime Prevention took place. The event was attended by the leaders in charge of educational work, the head of security S.M. Hlypalov, chairmen of national affinity groups.
At the meeting the participants discussed involvement of foreign students in the social and cultural life of the university.
- sporting events were dedicated the Day of Independence of Angola - a football and a basketball tournaments, about 60 students at BSTU are from Angola. Away from home young Africans revere and respect the traditions of their country.
Day Independence Day Angola, celebrations began in the lobby of the university, where the guys put a display of his country. Continued triumph in the Student Cultural Palace, where he was a concert.
Muhongo Gilerme Pedro Diaz, an Angolan national, perfectly manifested himself in a traditional contest "Student of the Year" and deservedly won III place.
A traditional annual meeting of foreign students with law enforcement and immigration services took place in Belgorod. Senior representatives of BSTU told the students about the subject of the internal regulations of the University. Migration officers advised students on entry and compliance stay in Russia of foreign citizens. Many of the recommendations of FMS staff undoubtedly help international students to avoid complications with the law, make their stay in Russia, calm and safe.
All chairmen of affinity groups successfully work with young people who come to study at our university. From his first days at the university, they are surrounded by care and attention. This allows children to quickly adapt to unfamiliar conditions, successfully mastering the Russian language. Not remain foreign youth away from cultural and sports events.
Annual competitions and popular art song "Accord". Amahoru Angie, 5th-year student from Indonesia, took this year’s diploma degree, conquered from a professional jury and spectators for brilliant artistry.
This semester has been a period of active work of all foreign affinity groups, which will continue in the spring semester. There are a lot of things to do: collection of all the photos and videos of from all the events”,'The best article contest"," Best Section and room " in the dormitory, interviews with those who first violated the internal rules of behaviour, explanation of mistakes.
Spring 2013 will open its doors to the International Conference "Science, education, and production."
At the end of the spring semester there will be an annual report and election meeting where, traditionally, based on the results of the work, the chairmen of foreign associations will elect the President of the Council of Foreign Students. At the end of the meeting the President of the Council of affinity groups of foreign students hov Abassi Sayed Ammar congratulated those present with a New 2013 Year and wished all good, peace and success in all endeavors.
