A Special Award for a Foreign Student
From 7 to 9 September XVI International Festival of student art song and poetry "A Path of Nezhegol 2012" was held on the basis of a health-camp "Seagull", located in the village of Titovka, Shebekino district. BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov was represented by four students. Alexey Pyrvu (Architecture and construction institute), performed in pop songs nomination with songs "Motor" and "Treasure" by S. Babkin and became the winner.
Alexey Latyshev (Institute of technological equipment and machine building) presented "Vanilla Dream" (music and lyrics by D. Yakovlev) and "Jamaica" (from the repertoire of "Komedoz" group). In "The Poet" nomination Ivan Leichenko (Institute of economics and management), recited two poems of his own : "Thank you for understanding" and "gray tree, green garage".
But the most surprising performance was the one made by an Angolan national - Kolembe Zakariash Sonzhamba Vasco (Architecture and construction institute) - a future architect. The student from Angola sang his own composition, devoted to his beloved homeland. This song expressed both a longing for a distant homeland, and belief in its bright future, as well as hope that Kolembe Zakariash will be able to apply the knowledge gained in Russia for the prosperity of the country. The employees of the center for international education and cooperation and preparatory faculty for foreign students productively work with young people, who come to study at our university. From their first days at the university, they are surrounded by care and attention. This allows them to quickly adapt to unfamiliar conditions, successfully mastering the Russian language, and later their chosen profession. The foreign youth does not stay apart from cultural and sports events.
In the Students Art Centre at BSTU holds annual competitions of popular art song "Accord" recitation and poetry contests. The experienced artistic directors work with the students, help them to select repertoire, rehearse, which generally resembles the work of jewelers with precious stones ... For the talent to sparkle with the most brightest sides it needs work.
