Acquaintance with the University activities
During the one-day stay at our university representatives from international educational delegation visited the university facilities. With great pleasure, they visited the university dormitory, a home to foreign students, who came to study at BSTU. A little later, the members of the foreign delegations were able to communicate directly with their countrymen to discuss their concerns. A fascinating tour of the campus was held by a chief of BSTU halls of residence N.N. Kartavtsev.
The guests were able to visit a new dormitory of the University and assess its comfort and facilities. Many of them praised the university campus, where the students can use WI-FI-internet.
The guests also reviewed the activities of the Center for International Education and Cooperation. E.V. Kapustin, director told about the work and structure of the division. Foreign journalists were able to learn that our university has over 700 international students from 72 countries, and discussed the prospects of the higher school in the area of international activity.
Also, the foreign colleagues talked about ways to build an educational system in their homeland. For example, in Bulgaria, young people when choosing the right college for themselves pay a great attention to the rating of the institution. Speaking about the educational system in Bulgaria, Nikolay Hristanov, representing this country noted that at present, Bulgarian higher education institutions pay great attention to the practical training, to prepare a highly qualified expert.
In Ghana, the situation in education is quite different. For political reasons, young professionals who have received a degree, is not always able to find a suitable job. However, the Government of Ghana, is more than ever in need of managerial personnel, and many graduates are trying to establish their own business.
The representatives of India assured that the students, getting education abroad, which is 3% of the population, will bring benefit to the country.
