Over 180 people from 36 countries are taking courses at the preparatory faculty for foreign students of our university this academic year, which is 8% more than in the past academic year. The staff of this department is arranging numerous activities to ensure that foreign students are not only able to adapt more quickly to life in Russia, but also to understand and accept its culture, customs and traditions, the staff pays great attention to familiarize students with significant events in theRussian history.
Thus within the schedule of the events dedicated to the Victory Day, the department organized the event, where preparatory students could see exhibits on the events of World War II for themselves.
A Diorama Museum "Battle of Kursk. Belgorod area" has become one of the places visited by both the teachers and foreign nationals. This museum incorporates a great number of different objects and illustrations, which remind us of memorable events of those years. Students examined the exposition, weapons, uniforms with interest. But deepest impression was made by diorama painting -that helped to feel the atmosphere of memorable events - a symbolic picture of a tank battle on the field of Prokhorovka July 12, 1943. Everyone couldn’t but keep their eye on this great and realistic paintings.
The foreign students wrote in the memorable book of the museum in different languages about their unforgettable impressions.
