On March 27 at BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov organized a webinar, which was attended by leading Russian scientists in the field of building materials from a number of Russian regions - Arkhangelsk, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Saratov, Buryatia, Penza. And also - Germany and Ukraine.
The event took place within a series of webinars "Problems of building materials. New technologies. " By tradition, the organizer of the webinar was the department of building materials, products and structures of BSTU. The guest of honor held in the walls of our high school event was the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences, a professor at Moscow State Construction University, Professor Y. Bazhenov.
As part of the webinar the participants discussed the issues relating to the production of high-performance concrete. The reports on this subject were made by graduate students of the North of the Arctic and the Federal University of the East-Siberian State Technical University Ludmila Vishnyakova and Savgon Lhasaranov. Reports of the young scientists were devoted to evaluation of the energy surface properties of materials and concretes of high strength composite binder, which caused some debate. After hearing the reports of young scientists, the head of the Department of construction materials, products and structures of BSTU, Professor V.S.Lesovik, above all, drew attention to the fact that the holding of such workshops in online should be widely used for conferences, lectures, preliminary defence of dissertyation theses, as well as to enhance international cooperation.
Next, students organized a lecture with the participation of the Russian Academy of Architecture and Building Sciences, professor at Moscow State Construction University, Professor Y.M Bazhenov. Yuri Mikhailovich told to the future experts on how to develop the domestic construction science in the postwar years. Many kind words were said and the scientific personnel of the country, which raised the post-war economy and industry. Being a student of Civil Engineering Faculty of Military Engineering Academy. V. Kuibyshev, he began to participate actively in research work. A hands-on experience gained in the construction of the Northern Fleet in the Arctic, only strengthened the interest of Yuri Mikhailovich to research activities.

Here, a young scientist paid special attention to the behavior of building materials for various types of dynamic and thermal effects, along with the study of materials for special construction. At the end of the conversation the scientist said that it was a youth, of her zeal in many ways the future of Russian science.
