BSTU represented by foreign students of our university: vocal trio Msibi Nkosinati (Swaziland), Eliezer Mubunda Dede (Congo), Mngomezulu Tabani Peter (Swaziland), performing "An Evening on the roads" (V. Soloviev-Sedov). Mubunda Eliezer Dede (Republic of Congo), performed with the song by Soloviev- Sedoy (Lyrics- A. Fatyanov) "Nightingales", Peary Klive (Zambia) - with the song "Letter to father" (E. Martynov). All participants received first degree winners certificates.
The music director, giving music classes at the Russian language department and the Students art centre Uruzmag Tandelov commented on this success as follows: "In my opinion, our trio was one of the best - the guys are sang a beautiful song by Solovyov-Sedov so touchingly. “Evening on the roads" left no one indifferent. It should be noted that these students are on their first year of studying the Russian language. The eyes of the young men filled with tears when I explained to them the meaning of the song, which refers to the farewell to their native shore said by people who go to fight the enemy. After all, everyone knows the sense of farewell to the homeland. They put so much feeling and emotions into his song! I must say that working with foreign students, I appreciated how they can be compassionate, their amazing vocal abilities. Work with them is a great pleasure. Especially under tremendous support by the Dean of the preparatory faculty for foreign citizens, PhD E.N. Legochkina, director of the Center for International Education and Cooperation PhD E.V. Kapustin. Thanks to their support we established a cultural center of international students, which includes not only representatives of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov, but Belgorod State University and Belgorod State Agricultural Academy named after V.J. Gorin. Foreign students are distinguished by their great work which allows them to learn a various repertoire: carols, folk songs, classical works, popular music ... Students sing both solo and in groups. Particular attention is paid to polyphony. Here at the festival, we were the only team that used polyphonic singing. "
