Experts in the English Language in Kharkhov (November 21, 2010 )

The Department of Foreign Languages of BSTU named after V.G Shukhov and Kharkov National Automobile and Highway University (Ukraine) are tied by long-term friendship. Under the leadership of deputy  Department Head, I.I Belovodskaya and faculty member O.A  Mogutova, the students do not just take part in international scientific conferences for students and young scientists of higher technical educational institutions, organized annually in Kharkov National Automobile and Highway University and also Kharkov representatives  come to the contests held in  Belgorod on a regular basis. Foreign language is an essential part of training future professionals, who became the hallmark of the Department of Foreign Languages of BSTU.

2010 is  the year of 80^th anniversary  for students and the academic staff of Kharkov National Automobile and Highway University , . Each department has contributed to the celebration of the landmark date.

On October 22, 2010 Department of Foreign Languages in Kharkov NAHU received the guests and participants of the international scientific student forum "University of the XXI century. Education, I dream about. " In addition to students and lecturers of the leading universities in Kharkov,  the forum was attended by BSTU students: K. Aakopyan (accounting), L. Vodyanitsky (civil engineering), V. Demenko (international economy), A. Kartashov (international economy),A. Kovalev (international economy), A. Panin (machine building technology), A. Pyrvu (construction materials), D. Sumy (construction materials), C. Chorba (accounting). They brought presents- famous “Shukhov university pies” with  cabbage and raisins, baked  in BSTU bakery, which along with the traditional T-shirts decorated with  BSTU symbols became pleasant souvenirs for the organizers of the forum. The concert program Belgorod representatives, accompanied by giving the gifts to the hosting party, provoked a storm of applause in the hall.

The official part of the forum and a friendly dinner was followed by the competition program. BSTU. team represented our university with diligence. Students gave presentations, which reflected their views on issues of higher education in the twenty-first century, and expressed wishes about how they would like to see our higher school in the near future.
The Forum was held in a friendly, warm atmosphere. Participants were awarded with diplomas and certificates. In the summing up the head of the Foreign Languages Department № 2, Cand. Sc. , Associate Professor, N.V Saenko marked the activity of Belgorod representatives , their high level of proficiency in English, which reflected not only in the contest and disputes, but also in the category of student essays. In the student essay contest K. Shirrime (power engineering) took  the second place, and V. Demenko (international economy)  the third place. Diplomas for participation were awarded to D. Malyshev (machine building technology), P. Medvedev (civil engineering), I. Mochalin (machine building technology), A. Mufazalova (chemical techniolgy), DA Pereverzev (binding materials), E. Fedorov (Computer programming).

The student participants came back to Belgorod filled with impressions of a sunny day, spent among the friends.

The Department of Foreign Languages of BSTU named after V.G Shukhov  extends gratitude and appreciation to I.I. Belovodskaya and O.A. Mogutova for their efforts to in the arrangements for the forum and students’ research in general.
