Oskol Dance International Contest
XVIII Oskoldance festival took place in Stary Oskol from November 25th to 27th. This prestigious contest hosts young dancers from Russia, Poland, Check Republic etc. 900 participants and 52 dance groups were competing to the very end to win the title of the best of the best.
The Judging Panel was also represented by young people – 5 dancers, award winners of international contests and, according to the tradition, 2 BSTU students, residents of the Republic of Ghana were given the honor to give their judgment. The festival was attended by professor of the Russian Academy of Theatrical Art Vladimir Kirsanov, a step-dancer and a choreographer.
All the performances were outstanding. However, dancers from Stary Oskol took the highest awards. Grand-prix was given to Vladimir Christolyubov’s Dance and Plastic theatre, “Bravissiomo” group and “Tornado” from Voronezh.
Our young judges – Nyarko Isaac and Kwakie Wilhem Kwabena came back full of impressions and excitement. They gave an interview on TV, took part in the social program and told their friends about the festival, the hospitality and new friends they have made.
