Lecture of the professor from Yemen
During the business visit, Salem Awadh Ramodha, vice-rector on science and technology of Hadramaut University, gave a lecture to BSTU students to get them familiarized with Yemen, his native country. The lecture was attended both by Russian and foreign students.
After giving his appreciation to BSTU management, the professor expressed his admiration of the Russian Federation, which, according to him, played a significant part in the development of the world science and culture. Russia is known all over the world not only for its significance as a major country, but also as the birthplace of such outstanding personalities as Lomonosov, Tolstoy, Pushkin and many others.
The vice-rector demonstrated a video describing geographic and climatic characteristics of Yemen. After this prof. Salem Awadh Ramodha offered detailed information of major educational institutions in his country in general and Hadramaut university in particular, as its representative. The audience expressed special interest to the second part of the lecture, devoted to architecture in Yemen. It appeared that clay is the most widely used building material. Buildings in different towns look amazing with their beauty and elegance. After the interesting lecture the students expressed their gratitude with the applause.
