Consortium NBMS

Research Institute «Nanosystems in Building Materials Science», headed by Doctor of Technical Science, Professor V.V. Strokova established to implement the proposed in BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov's concept of creating neocomposites for construction purposes using natural and technogenic nanosystems.

A unique instrument base and the establishment of new scientific schools are necessary for solving the most important fundamental and applied problems in this direction. It can take ten years or more. Therefore BSTU initiated the establishment of a consortium that united the efforts of scientists from different branches of science to conduct a complex of interdisciplinary research. At present, this project is under implementation.

The efforts of the Russian Academy of Sciences and the Russian Academy of Architecture and Construction Sciences are combined for the first time for realization such a large project.

Joint research is conducted with the scientists of the Faculty of Materials Sciences of Moscow State University named after M.V. Lomonosov, Institute of Experimental Mineralogy of the Russian Academy of Sciences, Institute of Geology of the Ural Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

Scientists of BSTU named after V.G. Shukhov and representatives of organizations of the consortium members are employees of laboratories.

The consortium has highly qualified specialists and a modern instrument base (centers for collective use of consortium members).
